Yoga Kula Reopens on Monday 3rd August

The countdown is on! The Yoga Kula studio is reopening and we’re in the process of preparing the studio for your safe return.

We’ll be opening the studio doors on Monday 3rd August.

We are in this together….

We are very excited to bring our community back together and be back in our beautiful studio space and recently refurbished reception area. Our number one priority is to make sure you feel safe, comfortable and calm when you come to practise yoga at Yoga Kula and we are doing everything possible to make this happen – read on for more information.Thank you to each and every person who completed our survey, the feedback has been so helpful as we make plans to reopen. Some survey highlights;

  • 84% of you wish to continue with YK Live
  • 96% of you plan to bring your own mat to studio classes, for those who don’t have a mat to bring, props will be available to borrow, with cleaning required after use
  • 68% of you plan to return to studio classes, the majority of which plan to mix this with YK Live classes
  • You said some wonderful things about Yoga Kula (thank you) when we asked your thoughts about us, we will share some of the feedback on our social media channels but here is a particularly lovely one which we adore because our community is you and we wouldn’t be here without your support;

What is your favourite thing about Yoga Kula?

“The spirit and energy of the teachers and the Yoga Kula community. It’s magic!”

Some additional safety points – please view our safety graphic here.

  • Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your class commencing
  • Social distance queuing for classes which begins outside – please see diagram
  • Kula Operations Staff will be wearing face masks and plastic gloves as they check you in.
  • Once you have checked in you will be directed upstairs.
  • We recommend where possible using bathroom facilities before coming to YK – if you need to visit the bathroom please ensure there isn’t anyone else in there before you enter.
  • We recommend arriving changed where possible – we will have one changing room available in which touchpoints will be cleaned after each class.
  • We will show you to your place in the studio to keep the reception and waiting area clear (keep socks on until you are on your mat) and relax wearing your mask until the teacher says it is OK to remove it as the class begins.
  • Masks will be compulsory whilst you are not practising in all areas on the building and discretionary during class. Please bring a face mask with you, or you can purchase one from Yoga Kula – you will not be admitted into the building without a face mask.
  • Please bring your own water with you to the studio, tea and water will not be available at the studio.
  • Breathing through the nose kills viruses and bacteria so ensure you rest in class if you become breathless to avoid mouth breathing where possible.
  • If you want to catch up with your Kuli friends we suggest arranging to meet for a coffee after class in one of the many beautiful outlets in Chapel Allerton.

We will continue to monitor all advice and we will enhance our safety protocols in the next two weeks as necessary. We will, of course, keep you up to date every step of the way.
