We invite you to join the incredible Senior Yoga Teacher Julia Knight for our Yin + Yang // The Deep Front Line workshop on Sunday 30th June, 1-3:30pm.

T H E   D E E P   F R O N T    L I N E 

The Deep Front Line or DFL allows us to access to our core fascia which travels the body from head to foot, and as well as being a stabiliser the DFL closely mirrors the Yin Meridian energy channels of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Y A N G + Y I N

To balance our Yin and Yang energies this workshop will begin by activating our DFL with a backbend focused all levels Vinyasa Flow (Yang) practice which be accessible to beginners whilst modifying postures to challenge more experienced yoga practitioners.

We will then move onto a floor based, nervous system quietening Yin practice, which will balance the Yang practice and bring focus to your Yin kidney energy — the life force of our inherent constitution and ancestors.

This Yin and Yang practice will encourage strength alongside suppleness and stability, and will help you to:

  • Understand your Deep Front Line fascia anatomy and how to connect with and activate this.
  • Build strength in an integrated way, balanced with suppleness.
  • Deepen your awareness of ways to protect your lower backs.
  • Explore the relationship between Yin and Yang
  • Understand how to keep balance in your life.
  • Understand how breath (Pranayama) in your Yoga practice can support the Yin and Yang energies in your life
