Covid-19 Safety Procedures at Yoga Kula

Your safety and our teacher’s safety is our number one priority, that’s why we have put together a Covid-19 Safety at Yoga Kula graphic to detail how we are keeping you safe at all times. When we reopened the studio we ensured that we are adhering to Government guidelines, whilst respecting our student’s need to practise safely in the studio once again. For those students shielding or unable to come back at the moment, you can join us for a studio class via live-steam or a YK Live class.

Safety for our Community and Teachers First

We are very excited to bring our community back together and be back in our beautiful studio space and recently refurbished reception area.

Our number one priority is to make sure you feel safe, comfortable and calm when you come to practise yoga at Yoga Kula and we are doing everything possible to make this happen. Please read the below document for full details of the processes we have in place to keep your space safe.

Guidance for when you arrive at the Yoga Kula studio and as you come into the studio

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before class to allow time for the below safety checks and sign-in process. If you arrive after the class has started you may not be permitted to join the session as we are also live-streaming the class to students practising at home.
  • Please wear a mask on arrival and keep it on until the teacher informs you to take it off when you are on your mat.
  • The team will ask whether you have been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and will also check your temperature with an infrared thermometer.
  • Once you have removed your shoes, please keep your socks on until you arrive at your mat (if you wear flip flops or sandals please bring socks with you).
  • You will be asked to maintain social distancing when you arrive at the studio (there are markers on the floor to help guide you on where to stand), you must also follow social distancing as you store and collect your belongings from the storage areas.
  • We are encouraging students where possible to bring their own props. If you don’t have your own props there are limited props available to borrow. Soft props need to be handled with a towel or sweater. Hard props and mats must be thoroughly cleaned down after use with anti-bacterial wipes provided.
  • Please bring your own water bottle and water, drinks are not available at Kula at the moment. Please do not consume food on the Kula premises.
  • HOT YOGA NOTICE: Hot yoga students must bring their own mat, towel, and water to every class. And if you prefer to wear flip flops to class, you must bring socks to put on.
